The sun is shining. The air is warm. And the beach is just a few minutes down the road.
My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying in one of the rustic cabins of Parkridge’s Lakes of Wasaga Cottage and RV Resort. It was a perfect weekend for it. It was hot and sunny…the perfect combination for a weekend at Wasaga.
Imagine, six people, staying in a one bedroom, one bathroom for nearly two weeks.

I recently traveled to San Diego with my family (two parents, two teen/tween kids). We have friends meet us there. All six of us met up at our one bedroom, one bathroom condo rental. Yup, having that many people in such a small space can be more than a little challenging.
Muskoka in the summer is beautiful.
The sun. The trees. The lakes. The dock living!
I am very grateful that I have a summer cottage to stay at when we are in Muskoka but you don’t need to stay the night to enjoy its beauty. It is close enough to much of the GTA that in a few hours drive you are in the heart of Muskoka. For our family it is about a 3-hour drive…because you know,
Here’s to summer!
Today is the last day of school for my kids. And you know what that means? No more making lunches or getting up early for two months and that has me excited. Can you relate?
Alright, while I am excited about no more packing lunches I realize there are other things to worry about now that the kids are home for the next two months. What the heck are we going to do with all that free time?
So, here is the thing. My family and I have known about this awesome beach for more than a decade. Siesta Beach.

Every year around Christmas and March break my family visits our family condo in Siesta Key. The beach there is a real beauty. White sand. Gulf of Mexico. Sun, sand, and surf! And now the secret is out!!! Siesta Beach has been named the number one beach in America!
