I am always on the hunt for great family recipes. It has to have a couple of things to make it on my list of go-to recipes. First it has to be easy. I will be honest here I am not the world’s best cook, far from it, so I like easy. Second, it has to have a manageable list of ingredients. If the list is too long I am out. Third, it has to be kid-family friendly.
I wouldn’t say I am a huge traveler but I have been to a few choice cities. One of those choice cities I have visited a few times is Chicago.
There is great shopping, great restaurants and fantastic tourist sights to see. I love that it is a city near water and there are lots of fun things to do along the Navy Pier, including fun, games, eating and even a boat ride (day or night).
I don’t match socks. Yup, you heard me right. I DO NOT MATCH SOCKS (adulting can be hard sometimes, we can all agree on that right? OK, it is only socks and not really adulting but still, I really dislike matching socks!).
Who has time for that? You with me?
I have done my best to raise my children to appreciate the creativeness of mismatched socks.
I have said it before and I will say it again – I AM NO FINACIAL WIZARD. I will always defer to the experts. So, naturally when there was an RBC RESP Twitter chat I had a few questions. As did many others…below is just some of the things we all learned.

Simply put The Hospital for Sick Children saves lives. The doctors and nurses there saved my sister’s life.
That building is more than just bricks and steel. It has a heart. It has life. The people who work there care about the patients, the kids, they are working to save!
Walking For Sick Kids
So on September 26, I am lacing up my runners and taking part in Toronto’s greatest adventure walk to benefit SickKids.
