In my search for the perfect meal box subscription service, we are trying a new company. This time it is all about Good Food!
Make Good Food that is!
Again, we went with the three meal for four delivery service.
I decided to go with this service after a hearing about it from a friend. Once I checked out the menu on the website I was sold. The meals were more in line with our food palate and taste. I am not sure if it is the right word here but the food feels a bit more rustic and family friendly.
What Do You Get?
- vegetables
- meat
- sauces
- spices
- recipe cards with text and photo instructions
What Does It Cost?
Again, we went with the three meal for four people box. This one cost me $115 Cdn.
What Do We Think?
So far we have loved every recipe we have received! Each one has been super tasty. The recipes are always easy to follow, especially with the step by step instructions and full-colour photos. Everything is laid out so well that is so easy to feel like you are are a pro in the kitchen. Here is a look at some of our recent Good Food meals.
My kids, aged 12 and 14, along with my husband really liked the meals (even the vegetables. The garlic helps make them tasty)
I will be honest, the beef and mashed potatoes were tasty but the red cabbage was a hard sell for the kids. We have a bit of a family rule when it comes to food; try it once, if you don’t like it don’t eat it but you need to at least try it! The girls did try it but it just wasn’t a favourite!
The one thing we do find with our Good Food box is there is not as much food as the Hello Fresh boxes we have tried in the past. While there is enough for everyone to have a decent portion, we find there is not much left over if someone wants a second helping or a little extra. The Good Food portion sizes are a little bit smaller than Hello Fresh.
