I read an article today by Rebecca Eckler about adults turning to children’s books and it got me thinking about some of my favourite children’s books.
First, without question is the Dr. Seuss book Oh, The Places You’ll Go! I will admit that I love so many Dr. Seuss books. There are so many great lessons in these books. And let’s face it, they are fun!
Dr. Seuss offers up a road map for life really.
Another great book is Where The Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak! I love so many of Maurice Sendak’s stories. I have such fond memories of watching the children’s show Little Bear also a Sendak creation with my kids!
And finally, Love You Forever by Robert Munsch . Who hasn’t cried reading this book? It is a must read for any parent… any really!
I would love to hear your favourites. What children’s books inspire you?
