Do you celebrate or mark Valentine’s Day?

It has never really been a big deal in our house. Even before my husband and I had kids, Valentine’s Day wasn’t a huge deal. I am grateful!

It has been a while since I have posted about daily gratitude. I will be honest there has been a lot happening in my life and while the need to express daily gratitude has increased my practice of expressing daily gratitude has decreased.

Soooooooooooo……

I realize it is time to start expressing my attitude of gratitude to the Universe. I know that it is important to express goodness into the Universe.

I have a confession to make. I wasn’t sure that our kids would have fun on this Disney Cruise. I know, when I write it down it does sound a bit nuts but let me explain. So, my kids were 12 and 14 at the time of the cruise back in April  (they are now soon to be 13 in a matter of days and 15) and they have been to Disney World in Florida many times and have been to Disneyland in California once.

In this post, I want to talk about our stop at Castaway Cay. It is Disney’s private island. For us, it was our only stop during our 5-day Marvel Day at Sea Cruise.  Bad weather and large swells kept us from getting off the boat in Grand Cayman because it is a soft tender port. The only way to get off at Grand Cayman is to get onto a smaller boat since they do not have a large pier for docking the ship.

The long weekend means cottage for many people in Ontario, and we are not different.

 

We have a family cottage that my parents own. The long weekend (this weekend is Victoria Day long weekend for us) means a bit of extra time north of the city. Our place is on Skeleton Lake in Muskoka. It is in cottage country but still close enough to a town that we can zip to the store to pick up groceries.
